Your Story Matters: Help Us Share the Power of Creativity πŸ’œπŸŽ¨

At Art for Wellness CIC, every story matters. We’re inviting our community to share their experiences and help us celebrate the difference that creativity can make to everyday life.

Creativity is about more than art

At Art for Wellness CIC, we believe creativity is for everyone. You don’t need to be an artist, have previous experience or create something perfect to benefit from taking part.

Our therapeutic art workshops and creative wellbeing sessions offer opportunities to explore colour, shape, texture and imagination in a welcoming environment. They provide time to slow down, express yourself, try something new and connect with others.

For some people, creativity offers a peaceful moment away from everyday pressures. For others, it can be an opportunity to build confidence, develop friendships, explore emotions or discover a new interest.

Every person who joins us brings their own experiences, hopes and reasons for taking part. That is why we believe it is so important to hear the stories behind the artwork.

πŸ“£ We want to hear your story!

We are inviting people who have attended our workshops, creative activities or community sessions to share their experiences as part of a short case study.

A case study is simply a way of sharing an individual’s experience in their own words. It helps others understand what taking part can mean to someone and gives us an opportunity to celebrate the real experiences of our community.

You might like to tell us:

  • Your journey: What encouraged you to come along to Art for Wellness CIC?
  • Your experience: What have you enjoyed most about our sessions?
  • Your wellbeing: Has taking part helped you find time for yourself, feel more connected or explore your creativity?
  • Your connections: What does being part of a welcoming creative community mean to you?
  • Your message: What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining a session but feels nervous about trying something new?

You do not need to answer every question. We simply want to hear whatever feels meaningful to you.

🌱 Why sharing experiences matters

Hearing directly from people who take part in our activities can help others understand the value of creative wellbeing.

Sometimes, someone may be considering attending a workshop but feel unsure about what to expect. They may worry that they are not artistic enough, feel anxious about meeting new people or wonder whether a group activity is right for them.

Reading another person’s experience might give them the encouragement they need to take that first step.

By sharing our stories, we can help challenge the idea that art is only for people who consider themselves creative. We can show that the process of making, exploring and connecting can be just as important as the finished artwork.

Your experience may also help us reflect on our work, celebrate what matters to participants and continue developing welcoming opportunities for creativity and wellbeing.

πŸ’œ You don’t need to be a writer

We understand that putting your experience into words can sometimes feel daunting. Please don’t let that stop you!

You can share a few sentences, have an informal conversation with us or ask for support to put your story together. There is no expectation to write a long account or find the perfect words.

We want your story to reflect your experience, your perspective and what matters to you.

Taking part is entirely voluntary. We will discuss your consent and explain how your story may be used before anything is shared publicly. If you prefer, we can explore sharing your story anonymously, without identifying details.

Your privacy and comfort are important to us.

🎨 Every story is different

There is no single definition of what creativity or wellbeing should look like.

Perhaps you discovered a love of torn-paper art, enjoyed exploring colour through journaling, created something inspired by nature or simply valued the opportunity to spend time with others.

Maybe your favourite moment was not about the artwork at all, but about having a conversation, sharing a laugh or feeling part of something.

Whatever your experience, we would love to hear about it.

At Art for Wellness CIC, we want to celebrate the people behind the creativity as much as the creative work itself.
