We’re so excited to share the next chapter of the Art in Your Hands journey!

At Art for Wellness CIC, we believe creativity can bring people together, reduce isolation and support mental wellbeing. Our dream is to create a permanent community arts and wellbeing centre serving Penistone, Barnsley and the surrounding communities.

🏡 Our Big Dream

We’re now aiming to raise £350,000 towards purchasing and converting a suitable building in the S36 area or nearby.

We want to create a welcoming, accessible space where people can:

🎨 Explore therapeutic art, creativity and self-expression
🤝 Make connections and reduce isolation
☕ Enjoy a welcoming café and social space
🌿 Relax and reconnect in a peaceful creative garden
👩‍🎨 Give local artists a place to create, collaborate and share their skills
🖼️ Enjoy exhibitions, events and community activities
💜 Feel welcome, supported and truly feel that they belong

This isn’t simply about finding a building.

It’s about creating a home for creativity, connection and wellbeing.
